Can I have an apple tree?

herro.

I woke this morning CRAVING spaghetti. Both of the girls are sitting here, one on each side, eating cream of wheat with banana. That sounds good too.

What inspired me to blog this morning was apples. Yes, apples. We go thru so many apples in this house and it's making me go crazy. I juice everyday and use about 2 apples. Sometimes 3 when I juice for the whole family. (kids, nana and Jose) So that's at least 14 apples a week. So I said out loud, "Lord, please give me an apple tree!" (My nana is a very religious woman.) Nana says, "Praise God! Ask and you shall receive baby!"

It's amazing how you can get fast food and feed a whole family for 6 bucks, but if I want apples for a week, I'm paying nearly a dollar a pound. If I wanted Organic apples, there goes another couple bucks. It's really sad, but I guess we have to pay top dollar for what the earth provides naturally. (sarcastic voice)

One day, I would like to have my own chicken coupe, apple orchard, lemon tree, rose bush and possibly my own cow. I'd have natural eggs and fruit! Juicing is expensive and I usually have to buy what is on sale. Here are the top foods I look for to make great juice!

Must have:
Spinach
Kale (any type)
Cucumber
Apples
Sweet Potato
Carrots
Blueberries
Blackberries
Beets
Celery

Sweet Potato, cucumber and apples make the most juice! So with just one of those alone, you can make a fair helping! Sweet Potatoes also taste really great! They calm any taste of celery down!

Spinach and Kale do not juice that much, but you can taste the slightest bit!

Adding at least one apple to a serving of 2 glasses makes a world of a difference. As well as blackberries! I use only about 5 for 3 glasses full!

So with that being said. Lord, please give me an apple tree...

MAKE UP POST: New MAC purchases!

Herro.

I got some new lovers from MAC. I know I'm not so much of a fan for the pink hues during the winter so much, but this ombre blush is just so pretty! It fades to a darker plum color which I use to contour below the cheek bone and keep the pink for the apples of my cheeks! You can never go wrong with a bronze shadow and these lipglasses are so great fro everyday!

Enjoy the photo diary of my new MAC products!

Make UP POST: LADY DANGER!

Herro.

Tis the season to have everyone and their dog wear red lips. I have been on a little bit of a RED LIP wearing frenzy lately anyway, but here is a new reason to be. LADY DANGER BY MAC. I am usually wearing RUBY WOO, but Jose brought this home for me and I was in LOVE. I stuck with Ruby Woo which a blue based red with a matte finish. Lady Danger is an orange base (and we all know I love my oranges) with a matte finish as well.

Take a look at the photo diary I have for you. I will discuss the look and products after. I used my new Canon 60D in some of the pics! Drop me a comment and let me know what you think!

Enjoy.

This look was in my last vlog. I had lots of questions about my lip, even though I clearly explain it in the video...

The LOOK:

Eyeliner: Inglots #83 gel liner. I think these gel liners are better than MACS.

Lip Liner: Redd by MAC

Lipstick: Lady Danger by MAC

Mascara: Falsies is Drama Black (Waterproof)

False lashes: Ardells brown wispies. After you have applied mascara, pop on these bad boys. I don't add mascara after I put on false lashes, but these were way to light for my eyes. I used one coat of mascara on my lashes (my own and false) and used a clean spool to comb any excess mascara. I used a black eyeshadow to conceal the lash line as well as dotted it along the base of the lashes to make them blend. Brown lashes really give a natural look to your make up!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Much love to all my readers!

New Camera for Christmas!

Herro.

Finally. A new camera! One that videos as well as takes amazing pictures! Thanks to my wonderful BF, I was given my Christmas present early! I was able to pick up 2 lenses that will be sure to keep me occupied for quite some time! I want to just take pictures of the world now! The kids are getting tired of smiling for mommy! HAHA

Enjoy the few pics that I was able to take before I passed out cold from too much fun!
CAMERA: Canon 60D

Below: I love when subjects are out of focus! What better than to start off by taking pictures of make up!?

Below: Just purchased this the other day. Was sitting on my counter, so I thought, "WHAT THE HECK!?" LOL

Below: I took a desktop lamp and used it for light. Not bad! Still playing with lighting and what not, now that I have a new camera, maybe I will have more "UMF" to put more quality time into videos. It is very time consuming!

I am in love and can't wait to get back into the studio. I was taking workshops with my Canon Rebel XS at one point a while back. The class used to tease me because I used a "Toy Camera" LOL but I can tell you, I took some great pics with that camera. With the 60D I will be able to really take some images with my new lenses and all the right equipment the studio offers!

I am inspired.

LifeAgainAt49: Inspiration

looooooook its my moms post! LifeAgainAt49: Inspiration: I'm still a little nervous.....so I went on to RissRose2 vlog and read all the comments to get inspiration. I was so flattered by all of ...

Inspiration applies to all.

Herro.

Can I just say that I have Aaliyah blasting in my house.. IF YOUR GIRL ONLY KNEWWWWW. Timbaland and her the best duo ever. The beat breaks in the songs were so UGH! (plug in thizz face) Made me grab my laptop and start writing. Music is key when I wanna get some creative juices flowing. Think about how creative the minds are of the music that you are listening to. A vicious cycle of artistic that I just can't handle (in a good way)

I was tending to blog today just because of the simple fact that I love to blog. Funny, I love being in front of that camera, but on this blog, it's simply words. All from me of course, but just words. NO facial expressions, NO demonstrations, NO make up, NO FACE. Just me typing away. It really allows me to sit back and speak from my mind. Therapeutic if you will.

Another reason why I was going to blog was because of my mom, Rose. Yes, her name is Rose, hence RissRose. LOL she started blogging and she is now on her second post. Do you know what that second post was about? ME. How I, her daughter, inspired her!!?? That is a first and I was touched. If any of you were apart of my beginning sub list of Youtube, you will notice that my videos were filmed in her house. I used to live with my mom and I used to film in my room when no one was home. I don't think my mom knew about my Youtube life until last year. Funny huh? I was kinda embarrassed to let anyone know that I made these silly youtube videos. 3 years later, I am teaching my mom how to blog because she was simply inspired by me. She will eventually have a youtube channel, but for now, she is teaching us all how to be positive and age gracefully as she gets the hang of blogging.

Moral of the story is, don't be like me and hide what you are proud of. Eventually people will come around and be inspired by that. And when that happens, your heart will smile and you can even dust off your shoulder.

MAKE UP POST: Blues!

Herro.
OOOOOOOOOO a make up post! With some color! Before I start this post, I'd like to say that during the winter time when I turn PALE, I like to stick with cooler colors. Kinda like EMBRACING my paleness.. LOL I feel that I go straight to an olive complexion and loose all the bronzy glow. Let's face it, it's way too hard to keep up that tan too! I'm not trying to always spray a self tanner or go in a tanning bed. Using pinks, reds and oranges on my eyes makes me feel more "green" since the red hues are complementary to green. Feel me? So let's begin.

Brushes: Crown and SedonaLace. (Make up by Ren Ren has a vortex set of brushed equipped with a brush belt) I think the set is so well put. The fluffy white brush is very close to the 217 blending brush from MAC. Well done RenRen!

MAC Mineralized Shadow: SHE WHO DARES. You might hate me for this, but it was from the Disney collection that came out a while back. I packed the blue shadow on top of the Sugarpill shadow.

MACs PLUMAGE: One of my favorite shadows from MAC. A smokey eye with this single color is just amazing. It's a nice alternative to just the usual black smokey eye. I used this color on my outer crease to create the depth. The matte finish on this shadow really deepens the crease.

Sugarpill: Wow. First time I have used their shadows. What a great quality! I am bummed there wasn't a more natural color in the Beautylish gift bag so I could wear it everyday! The pigment in the shadow is intense with not much fall out! I was impressed! I placed this color on the lid first and then packed on the MAC shadow for the sparkle.

Lashes: MAC. For this look I used #36 lashes. Nice and full.

Lips: I used MACs Cherish lipstick with a glossy pink for a more flush tone. It's pretty heavy on my eyes, so we don't wanna over power. Let the eyes have the spotlight!

I have a tutorial for this coming soon! I just sound like a man and have to do some voice overs. I better get my voice back. 2nd time this year I've lost my voice.

I've been missing! It's because I'm sick!

Herro.

Yes I know that I haven't been the best blogger in the world. But this time it's not totally my fault! I have been sick since Saturday and it's only gotten worse. I am actually much better today since I have slept the past 2 days! I swear, looking at my face this morning was a confirmation that we as humans really do need a good rest. I did not have any bags under my eyes and my face looked so fresh since I didn't wear any make up either! Here are a couple shots from the past couple days. Nothing big but some things you might like... enjoy!

I started Pilates again! So excited! I started a detox/cleanse for myself on Tuesday. I am so glad to get my mental health as well as my physical health back on track. Not that I was super unhealthy, just needed a boost. Ya dig? My detox/cleanse is not as serious as it sounds. More juicing! As well as water and tea as fluids. I did keep my coffee in there, but only a cup!! More raw nuts and veggies as snack. No fast food and no Junk. I now juice 1-2 times more than my 1-2 times a day. I carry a clear jug with me to sip on all day. I am peeing like no tomorrow!

Below: Here is me and my Joser spending "Friend day" together! You guys can watch the vlog that had this day and it's activities here. I love this nail place. Google it. POLSIHED on S. Rainbow in Las Vegas, NV.
Uploaded from the Photobucket iPad App

Joser and I went to LUSH! Who doesn't love LUSH? What a great product! I love the Buffy bar for the body! I bought that and the OCEAN SALT scrub! I love that for blemishes on my face. Especially those A-HOLE ones that come during your monthly.. or what my boyfriend likes to call "LADY TIME".... all products are natural and mild enough for sensitive skin! I don't think that LUSH is everywhere, so if you see one, stop in if you haven't! The one I went to is located here in Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay.

Although I am sick at the moment, this is the best I've felt all week. I was wiped out! I bought so much of that emergency fizzy drink as well. The raspberry flavor is gooooood! I don't like the orange one. Anyway, much love to all my readers. I can't appreciate you enough. And if you are a dedicated reader, I'm sure you can tell by now that I am sarcastic in the most loving way. Never get offended by anything I say, unless of course it's directed to you!
