DAY 2 of my 14 day cleanse

It's about 9:40am. Kids are at school and it's about 50 degrees outside. YUCK! Makes me just want to stay in bed and cuddle! I'm still in bed writing this blog..

So last night for dinner, we made Brown Rice pasta (Gluten Free-No wheat, No flour) and I made Cream of Mushroom soup, which I put organic chicken, mushrooms and broccoli in it. I was in the mood for creamy pasta and this just hit the spot! While Paul and I were making dinner, we each had a cup of tea.. Paul's choice was an organic green tea and my latest favorite is an organic ginger tea. Pretty spicy, but I put a teaspoon of sugar to take the edge off.

I just took my morning dose of the cleanse.. So did Paul. We will probably eat breakfast and go do some foot reflexology! Best Foot Spa is amazing! Right now for Yelpers, they offer 10% off! $34 for 60 min. Can't beat that with a stick!

Have a wonderful day ladies and gents! And please remind me to drink lots of water! I hate drinking water! LOL

OH, and P.S.......

This chick was wearing these super uncomfortable looking shoes in this habitat! WTF? Seriously? That's like wearing stilettos to Disneyland. Just because it's Vegas, doesn't mean you gotta be in your 5 inch heels and a tight little dress.

Thanks to her man, she had some help..

If you follow me on twitter, you'll be able to follow me closely on this cleanse.

14 day cleanse

I don't know what has gotten into me. I have gone into a little health nut zone. Not fully a health nut, (since I eat my deep fried pot stickers and Mexican food at 4am after work every week)but I guess it's getting into a healthier lifestyle so that I can eat what I want and make sure that it doesn't catch up with me. As I become older, I feel that I am not as energized as I once was. Not only that, my schedule is operating when most of us are asleep. "THEY SLEEP WE GRIND" As some of you may know, I work nights, getting off of work anywhere from 2-3am. Waking up with the kids for school at 8 am and either running errands during the day or finishing my sleep! With my eating crap all the time, I feel not as upbeat, maybe sluggish. But then again, I don't feel like I wake up till about 4pm and that's about the time I get ready for work. Pretty shitty huh? I have started to take my Women's 1 a day vitamin regularly and it helps.

I purchased this 14 day cleanse to help me jump start my new lifestyle. For 14 days, I am going to cut back on fried foods, soda and salt. I am a sucker for "crunch", diet coke and salty foods. I have also purchased some Organic Ginger tea and that helps the digestive system. Now I could have just increased my fiber intake along with Vitamin C and eat my veggies and fruits, but I think in 14 days, my research on what each pill does will increase and I will be able to find a nice balanced "vitamin/pill diet"

In all actuality, I truly believe that if you have a clear mind and are an expressive happy person, there is no such thing as depression, stress and crap like that. I'm telling you, it's the power of THE SECRET!

Here's what the box looks like...

The 3 bottles inside.. I purchased this cleanse from a Raw health store.. I'm pretty sure you can find a local store like this or call around to nutrition stores to see if they carry this..

I think we should all abide by most of these habits on a day to day basis..

I plan on doing some type of mini journal on the 14 days. What I ate, how I feel and what I have done to alter my everyday life. I am not doing this to lose any weight, I am doing this to cleanse the body. Naturally! I'm not in favor of the detox where you only live off teas or the spicy lemon drink! I think it's unhealthy. Damaging. Everyone needs the nutrients that foods give. I will be eating what I want, just saying no to the junk!

Today is day 1.. I already have organic chicken in my fridge!!

Also, Paul is doing another cleanse. A 30 day one. Concentrating more on the intestines. Made by the same company..

Much love guys! Let's be healthy together!

"TOURST DAY" The Secret Garden

What a day!!

Last night I went to sleep at 4am and woke up at 7:45am this morning! Let's see, it's now 10:30pm and I've been home for about 2 hours uploading pictures and trying to put together this blog post..

Jose's sister came into town around 2am this morning with her man and their son. So of course all day was "TOURIST DAY" and what better than to post about it to get you guys some ideas when you come to

So here you go... The next pictures are from the Secret Garden at The Mirage. Lions, and tigers and bears OH MY! Well not bears but dolphins! Kids 4-11 are $10 and adults $15. They also have a VIP package that let's you get closer to the dolphins and a more detailed tour, costing $200 for up to 5 people...

First to see were the dolphins..

I wish I was a kid again..

The black panther was my favorite! Such a sexy animal.

How amazing is this lion!? I've never heard a real lion roar! I must have did something wrong, because it came right for me purring!

Tell me this lion isn't staring STRAIGHT AT ME!?

White tigers... which the reason why they are white is a pigmentation disorder. They are not albino..

These pictures hardly do justice.. This animal was huge!

... I'm hoping that you guys like some of these suggestions! I know that this is supposed to be a beauty/fashion blog, but I think that these post are very helpful. I like giving ideas, even if it's not about my passion! See me as your "inside" to Las Vegas!

"TOURIST DAY" My surprise helicopter ride!!

I have one word:

I am very excited to share this experience with you all. If any of you have some extra money when you come to Vegas, THIS IS A MUST! I am now saving money to take my kids on this trip!

Paul told me the day before and said to make sure I dressed warm! I love surprises! Although I always try and figure them out, I had a HUNCH that this was it! I've always wanted to take a trip in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon!
Our take off time was at 1pm, we arrived at Maverick Grand Canyon Tours 15 minutes before... Just seeing the helicopters take off was amazing and gave me an instant rush! From take off to landing back took about 3 hours. Each way to and from the Grand Canyon was about 35 minutes. I thought that we were going to just fly around inside, BUT WE LANDED INSIDE!!! How awesome is that!? We landed where there were some picnic tables and they provided some veggies, cheese and crackers... We can't forget the champagne they served too!! It was a little overcast, but it didn't matter. Seeing the Colorado River and to just be inside the Grand Canyon was an experience in itself.

Here's a picture of Paul and I.

As soon as we brought out the snacks, these little guys came out! They LOVE people!

Feeding the furry friends ;)

Here's the "limosine" of helicopters

The plant life was beautiful.

Soaking it in

This is one of the stops that I went to the first time I went to the Grand Canyon. It's on the Hualapai Tribes land... This is where I first saw helicopters fly inside the canyon.

Stoked the whole entire time!

We flew along the strip on the way home.

Home Safe ;)

So there it is! I hope you guys enjoyed my pictures!

My birthday week!!

This has been one long week!!

I have tried to take as many pictures and video as much as I can, but to say the least, I am WORN OUT! I am no longer a spring chicken! HAHA I haven't been for a couple years now, but oh the joys of becoming an older woman! I think that most women to climb up the ladder in age, don't keep up. Nothing more attractive than a woman that can embrace her age and act it!!

I am in the process of watermarking the pictures from my birthday week. I want to share them with you guys! So until then, let me know what you wanna see and it'll give me more idea what to post. Cuz damn, watermarking is a pain in the ass. Thanks to those that steal my pictures!!!!

so which questions would you like us to ask you that are not retarded?

LOL well you can ask me anything and if I feel that it is appropriate I will answer.. I find that most questions arent that bad, but too many are about my personal/love life.

Ask me anything

(Above) Espuma de avellanas y chocolate (Chocolate and hazelnut mousse torte)

(Above) The "centerpiece" that's located on the end of the table. I'm not sure if they are on all the tables, since we sat at the high ball tables in the front of the restaurant .

Great place for some great conversation. I mean c'mon, look at the background! Make for some dope pictures with friends! My dads wife Jeanette, joined Paul and I for dinner and cocktails. She drank the sangria (sangria fanatic) which she said was awesome!

(Above) I love the art on the wall behind the bar. I was staring at it all night! If you can see in the image, it's all tile!

(Above) I'm not quite sure if it was the pastry kitchen or just another kitchen, but don't you love how open it is!? I am a huge fan of any place where I can see food being prepared!

(Above) The Cosmo is the "GO TO PLACE" for locals! As I was in the middle of conversation, my girlfriend Sophia was walking by to meet a friend at Blue Ribbon next door! Another place on my list. You like sushi!? Go there!

(Above) If I wasn't such an honest soul, I would've put these cups in my bag!! I have now been on a search to find these glasses! (PS, Cosmo, if you are reading this, I was just kidding about snaking the glasses ;))

(Above) Where else have you seen a game room!? To the right is Jaleo... Down that narrow hall is the best NY style pizza in Vegas! And to the left, Blue Ribbon...

There is more to come from The Cosmo! You guys always ask me where to go and I am yet to be done with this place! You will be seeing more! Shopping, Decor, Casino, the club Marquee and some other places to dine! If you decide to stop by while you're in town, hit me up on twitter, I might have to stop by.... ;)
